Thanks to the success of our treatments, the dedication of our providers and the loyalty of our patients, Piperis Interventional Pain Care grew exponentially over the past nine years; so much so that we added a new physician to accommodate our growing patient base.
In that time, we also realized that a new name was in order – something that speaks to our services and our mission. We chose Momenta Pain Care. Simple and meaningful, Momenta is the plural form of “momentum,” a word that entails moving forward and gaining energy. It brings to mind encouragement, health and a series of steps in a positive direction. When you choose to work with Momenta, you’ll gain the energy and positive outlook that comes with being pain free.
We’re excited about this change, and we’re looking forward to continuing to serve you in the years ahead, delivering the expert pain care and advanced therapies you need to feel better and move forward.
Dr. Peter Piperis is board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology and has been practicing medicine since 1990. He grew up in California and attended the University of California at Berkeley before receiving his Pharmacy and Medical degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After completing his anesthesia residency at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, he practiced at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Alegent Health-Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. With the skills developed in residency, Dr. Peter Piperis established pain medicine clinics at both hospitals before fulfilling his desire to dedicate himself to providing comprehensive pain care for patients. As a result, Piperis Interventional Pain Care, now Momenta Pain Care, was founded in 2006.

After receiving his medical degree, he completed two years of surgical training at Creighton University and then moved to New York to complete a residency in Anesthesiology at The State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Upon returning to Omaha in 1986, Dr. Griffith Evans began practice at Bergan Mercy Hospital. During his years there, he served as both Chairman of Anesthesiology and then Director of Pain Medicine. Dr. Evans is excited about his recent move to Momenta Pain Care. This will allow him to dedicate all of his professional time to providing comprehensive pain care to his patients and giving him the opportunity to work with his former colleague, and fellow pain management doctor, Dr. Peter Piperis.
