Reduce Pain and Improve Shoulder Health Without Surgery

A shoulder injury such as a rotator cuff tear, labrum tear, or osteoarthritis can make even simple movements like lifting your arm or reaching overhead painful and with limited range of motion. Whether due to overuse or a specific injury, shoulder pain and weakness can disrupt your daily life. Surgery is sometimes presented as the only solution, but there are less invasive treatments that address the underlying causes of shoulder pain without the risks associated with surgery.

Conventional Treatments May Offer Temporary Relief, Not a Long-Term Solution

For shoulder issues such as rotator cuff tear, labrum tear, and osteoarthritis, common treatments like physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and steroid injections may offer temporary relief by reducing pain and inflammation.Unfortunately, these treatments often don’t fully address the root causes of the pain, meaning pain and weakness can persist or even worsen over time.

When conservative care or common treatments no longer offer enough relief, surgery is often suggested. However, shoulder surgery can come with significant challenges, including a lengthy recovery period, limited shoulder mobility, and potential complications like infection or stiffness. While surgery can reduce pain, it may not fully restore function. After shoulder surgery, some people may experience only partial restoration of shoulder strength and movement, particularly in cases of severe or long-standing injuries, or changes in the joint over time that may require further treatment or additional surgery

Fortunately, there are alternative treatments that reduce the need for surgery.
